Busy day trying to fix things. VHF remote handset cradle appears to have failed totally which was on same circuit as Aft Bilge pump which also does not operate when level switch operated. I was very confused for ages looking for single solution not realising had 2 faults. The aft bilge pump level sensor OK when continuity checked but does not pass the 12vDC when connected. Will source new float switch in time.
Forward windlass switches for UP & DOWN inoperative. Located 2 broken splices the common OK. Reterminted the 2 splices all good.
Starboard navigation light not operating, wiggled some wires and worked. Not enough wire coming out of sealed light unit to reterminate so have bodge termination and seems steady, also tied with string to hold in place. This one will need monitoring.
A few sheets had wear on them so have put chafe covers on. 2nd reef line needs a long cover which we have run out so will need to see can source some locally.
Had a man clean the hull sides, all the stainless, most of the decks done. He will be back tomorrow to finish. Never seen boat so clean,
Mainsail removed to get fixed, will get back Friday or Saturday.
Tomorrow will have the CSA (Caribbean Sailing Association) measurer down to measure us at 0900, We will need to be up early to prep boat remove things that we plan not to sail with.

Just about time for a rum punch.
