Day 18 - Engine On

Managed to keep saling all night at 5 knots, not bad. Mid-morning wind sown to 3-4 knots boat speed 1 so opted for the engine. We have had the engine running 8 hours and suspect another 24 before enough breeze arrives to sail at reasoanble speed 4 knots or so. If all goes to plan will arrive Ponta Delgardo Tuesday 0800-1000 hours. 245nm to go.
Clear night and felt particularly cold for John who has lots of layers on, he definetly prefers the Caribbean climate. The sun out during the day has helped warm him up.
Had a few ships pass by today within a couple of miles of us. Saw a couple of pods of dolphins swim by. One set had 4 come off to visit but no fun for them and left to join up with their group again.
Dinner tonight with the last few rusty cans will be Irish Style stew, peas, cheese, baguette and madarin segments in juice.
