Manana manana….is what we’re getting used to in Panama. We charged back from the San Blas islands in time for our canal inspection from 7am yesterday. He turned up at 10.30am today! So now we have missed our provisional slot to transit tomorrow but have a confirmed date for the 7th.
We moved out of Shelter Bay marina into the anchorage outside today, the marina was so incredibly hot but one of the best marinas I have ever visited. Equipped with a pool, good bar/restaurant, chandeliers, fruit stall and a free bus into town to the supermarket.
The boys caught the bus to do the big ‘dry’ food provision today so we are full to the gunnels again! Meanwhile I dealt with the ‘inspector’. We’d taken the Davits and anchor off the boat in order to be as short as possible for the all important measuring….he didn’t even measure us!
Managed a foil off the anchorage this evening which I suspect is highly forbidden given that we are just off the side of one of the busiest shipping channels in the  world.
Think we’ll go to Lynton bay tomorrow for a change of scene before we transit.
