Tuesday 23^rd October 2012 – Ras Matarma

There are three anchorages here and so we sailed gently to the furthest point where we snorkelled with ‘Kerching’ and ‘ Sol Maria’ and spotted our first tropical fish of the Red Sea.

Before dark, sunset is now around 5.30pm, we motored back to the most Northerly anchorage to join the rest of the rally boats for the night.

We anchored in front of a sandy reef and could still see container ships passing through the shipping channel on the other side of the reef.
