The sails went up and the engine went off at 11.30pm last night and we jogged along at 4knts plus an extra couple of knots current.

Mark’s watch at 0300 and he could see land, disguised as a big dark cloud on the horizon.

0700 my watch and just getting light, we have passed the first island of ua-Huka and our destination of Nuku Hiva is on the horizon,also looking like a big black cloud !

We should arrive at the anchorage around 11.30am ships time (we have to put the clocks back another 1.5hrs for local time when we arrive).

Our time zone will then be UT- 9.5.

Local time in UK is BST(British summer time) so, I think we are BST -10.5 hrs.

Enough maths, it is too early !
