Our short 40 mile trip from Cartegena to Torrevieja proved to be very bouncy and quite exhausting.

We arrived in the marina at Torrevieja around 5pm and, despite phoning ahead that morning, we motored around for a long time and radioed the office several times before the marinares came and directed us to a berth.

After securing the boat and checking in at the office we shared a very large bottle of beer and a family sized bag of crisps before feeling revived enough to cook some dinner. So much for detoxing – four days is our limit !

Since the detox was already broken we tucked into dinner followed by sticky toffee pudding and custard.

A very early night with the alarm set for first thing in the morning so that we could scrub and clean the boat before the heat of the day kicked in.

Blue Magic decks are now gleaming and we are tucking in to sausage sandwiches, supermarket trip this afternoon and chrome work to be tackled tomorrow morning.
