Blue Magic is looking very festive and we are moored in Phi
Phi Don for Christmas with lots of good friends from the Blue Water Rally: Miss Tippy Jackamy Fai Tira Enchantress Lucy Alice Sol Maria Chisel Island Kia Christmas Eve we went ashore and found a restaurant amongst
the maze of walkways for dinner, we then met up with everyone at the
‘Hippy Bar’ on the beach to watch the live fire show. The beach was an array of neon lights, huge decorated
Christmas trees and thumping music, open air We watched the fireworks at midnight sat on the deck of Blue
Magic. This morning, Christmas Day, we woke to bright sunshine and
flat mirrored water in the harbour. We made tea, opened the chocolate biscuits
and gave out our pressies. Lots of goodies from home – thank you
Mum & Dad for the chocolates and Tina and Mike for the huge Christmas
pudding. Charlie and Katie bought out all new scatter cushion covers
for the saloon – so Blue Magic is looking very designer. By 9.30am we were in the dinghy delivering Christmas cards
and presents to the other yachts, stopping on Miss Tippy for a glass of bubbly
before returning for a traditional breakfast of grapefruit ( pamplemouse this year)
toast, ham and mustard, marmalade and cheese. Now it is getting Hot, Hot , Hot and we are going
snorkelling to cool down ! |
