Not again, here we are gently sailing along minding our own business when another high speed launch approaches.

This time it is BRIGADA FISCAL, which we understand is the military, and they aren’t interested in communicating via VHF, they signal for us to take the sails down and they want to board us!

Two soldiers come on board, luckily I have just finished tidying up and I have also got some clothes on.

They take down every detail of the boat and want the ships papers and our passports, they also go down below and look throughout.

We ask them why they are so interested in us every day and they say that there is an exercise being carried out throughout Europe, although we have only experienced this in Portugal.

It is all very official and so a bit scary !
