Land Ahoy
A lovely few days on dry land with Malc & Sandie. We relaxed by the pool, walked along the beach and the hills
around the villa and enjoyed several great meals out followed by local evening
entertainment. We are not sure if Mark benefited from the whole ‘dry
land’ experience as he took to sleep walking which included going out
onto the front balcony, naked, to check that we weren’t moving and that
the lines were secure ! Position 37:35.797N 00:59.087W Today we have travelled just 40 miles to Cartegena, a slight
change of plan as it is raining and the winds are a bit fluky for anchoring
tonight. There is a sailing competition here and so we are watching
all the large racing yachts returning from their days racing, there is also a
large stage and hospitality tents ashore, so we may be in the middle of Spanish
‘Cowes week’. Hopefully tomorrow will be more settled for anchoring 60
miles along the coast at San Pedro, the alternative is 120 miles to the next nearest
marina at Almerimar which would make for a very long day. |
