Port Douglas was quite a contrast to the modern and vibrant Cairns, but in a good way, it had a very relaxed tourist village feel to it.

We caught the local town bus and spent a day at the Habitat Park with the Tippy’s and Jackamy’s.

It was lovely to wander through the park feeding all the birds and animals that were running free around us.
