More Salalah
![](/static/images/logos/site-logo.png)
It looks like we are going to be in Salalah for several
weeks and we need to stay with the boat in case we have to move out to
anchorage or change berths etc. So we are trying to make the most of our time here…. Negotiations are underway to join the gym at the nearby
Hilton Hotel (much to Mark’s dismay), which includes use of the pool, sun
beds, towels and beach. A very nice location to relax and get away from the stifling
midday heat on the boat. For the last couple of days the routine has been early to
rise, get some boat ‘jobs’ done, attend the daily progress meeting
and then off to the Hilton for a couple of hours.
Last night we organised a bowling evening which was great
fun. There are four lanes of ten pin bowling complete with electronic scoring
at the Oasis Club and all 40 of the rally joined in and enjoyed the evening. Tomorrow night we are going to run a quiz evening, we
enjoyed the quiz nights run by Bill & Sue from Camomile and so we are going
to resurrect this event. We will be asking the questions this time so no stress
about not getting any answers correct ! We are at last beginning to recover from our exhausting trip
and the pressures of making decisions about our onward journey, it would just have
been nice to go home for a visit. The fashion shoot today was taken on location in the
romantic All clothes are models own with the exception of the long
denim skirt, fitted at the waist and hips with contrasting inserts below the
knee to give a flattering flare down to the ankles. Available from Lu Lu
Hypermarket in size big to extra big.
