The very beginning of Day 9 and we are halfway with 1511 miles behind us !

The seas and winds have built up a bit overnight and we are keeping a constant speed of over 8 knots on a broad reach.

At night the flying fish don’t seem to be able to see us and so they crash onto the decks, this morning we counted 36 lying around the boat.

Some of them are quite big but they don’t look very appetising, much too fiddly, so we throw them back.

The tuna steak was delicious, the trick is not to overcook it, sear for 1 minute each side in a hot pan and serve immediately. Pink in the middle is good.
