A fishy tale

Position 06:51.00N 086:58.62E After a slow night with very light winds we are now enjoying
another cracking sail close hauled to the wind with the sun shining and a
lovely cool breeze. We passed Fai Tira this morning and we are around 15 miles behind
Jackobelle so it will be good to see another light again tonight. I have, optimistically, put out the fishing line today. I
guess that it is easier to come into the wind and stop at this point of sailing
than it has been for the last few days with the twistle rig flying, I just need
a bite now. Technically I have already caught three fish this trip as
last night three very large flying fish managed to jump through a two inch gap
in the open hatch to land on my beautiful new cushions in the saloon. Despite several attempts at cleaning and spraying with
Febreeze I am still picking up scales and I can definitely still smell fish ! |
