Day 7 continued
Position 07:20.93S 110:20.35W Good news, Jaime from ‘Bionic’ is feeling much
better this morning after a good nights sleep and regular painkillers for kidney
stones. Sheila will stay on board ‘Bionic’ as the
transfer yesterday was very tricky and so best not to attempt another one. Miss Tippy have transferred a package of drugs over this
morning to keep Jaime comfortable. Gaultine 3 have reached the rendez vous point, they turned
around and went over 100 miles out of their way, and are going to accompany ‘Bionic’
the rest of the way in case they need crew transferred. Miss Tippy are going to bear away now and get some sea room
so that Brian can get some rest and we are going to accompany Miss Tippy from
behind to keep a watch out for them for the duration of the trip. We are all in radio contact on a regular basis. In the middle of all the arrangements this morning Miss
Tippy reeled in a huge Marlin to the back of the boat that was as big as Annie,
great excitement and photo shoot before they let it go ! Fantastic sunny day today with good winds, we are all
settled into a routine and enjoying the journey ! I have spent this morning going through my cookery books to
get ideas for the fresh tuna tonight and have come up with a recipe adaptation
using ingredients we have on board. Seared tuna steaks on a bed on warm cannellini beans,
peppers, tomatoes and green beans with a balsamic dressing, let’s hope it
tastes as good as it sounds ! |
