We arrived
in Raratonga early on Saturday which was very good timing as the local weekly
market was just opening.
The market was very colourful, lots of local fresh produce,
food stalls, local handicrafts and a display from the local dancers and band.

Noni is an ugly looking fruit that is supposed to have
healing qualities and be very good for your health
Saturday evening we went to trader Jacks for a meal and to
enjoy the live band
Here are the
girls ready for their night out. Amy and I are modelling our new skirt/dresses
bought on the market that morning. They are sold as ‘one skirt 100
ways’ and come with a DVD showing all the different styles. The DVD has a
young girl wrapping, twisting, tying, and knotting the two tiered skirt at
great speed into tops, skirts and dresses.
The result is one skirt – 100 times longer to get
ready to go out !
