Dear Family and Friends,

A feast of photos.

Amazingly amongst the barren landscape of Isla Bartolome, just 1 million years old, grows this unique lava cactus. It wont win prizes for its good looks but it is growing on bare rock!

View from the top of Bartolome volcanic cone, greenery is growing on the sand.

Galapagos penguin has made a home in the lava tunnels here in Bartolome.

Bartolome is not very big, but the landscape is spectacular if you dont mind the 140 m climb to the top. The walkways make it easier, the steps are steep but its the heat radiating off the rocks themselves that makes it a very hot climb.

Ok up to date now just one more day trip to go.

All our best,

Lynne and Alan
