Hi Rebecca, Josh, Family and Friends,

Todays blog looks likely to arrive before yesterday’s as that contained photos and did not send. So our route may look as though we have double backed which of course is not the case.

Following good winds throughout the day yesterday when we made good progress, they died away and backed overnight, leaving us with no option but to motor. Having said that we are about 200 miles from Porto Santo, over half way there! We are in contact with other rally boats, on our radio net via the SSB radio bands, at the scheduled 9am. Its good to talk and find out how they are doing and their position, otherwise its just a lot of empty sea! We were passed by a tanker late yesterday evening but that was the only vessel sighted all day.

Apart from a small brown bird fluttering chaotically through the rigging and probably taking a rest, there’s nothing to report!

Looking forward to making landfall, all our best wishes,

Lynne and Alan
