Dear Family and Friends,

22nd April 2015

Another day, 738 miles to go, good winds of 12-15kts, wicked swell on the beam, managed 160 miles again yesterday. Still looking like 5-6 days before arrival. We ache from sleeping in a braced position, our eyes are tired from so much reading and our bums are numb from too much sitting, apart from that all is well!

Our radio comms are tending to be more interference than chat which is a shame, its good to talk with our friends and fellow travellers. We report in our position to a pacific radio net daily and judging by other yacht position reports most seem to be well to the north of us, strange I thought that was where the doldrums oscillate, but maybe they are coming from the west coast of the Americas directly. Although we have had slower passages on this trip, most of the time we keep the speed above 5 kts and once below 3-4 degrees we have had enough of the SE trades in the 15 days, to have sailed all but about 17-18 hours when we motored.

Ah well, time for supper.

All our best,

Lynne and Alan
