Our final tour in Turkey sadly ended this morning since we left (after checking out of Turkey) around 11 am for Greece - Symi island were we are currently.

We spend our last 2 nights in Turkey in the area of Bozburun and very much liked it ! Bozburun is a seaside town in the Municipality of Marmaris. It is at the end of a very protected big, beautiful and peaceful peninsula !! The first night we anchored in turquoise waters and enjoyed swimming there. The second night as we needed to prepare for check out, we went into the small harbour and visited the authentic small town of Bozburun.

Like many of the coastal villages that sit along the Bozburun Peninsula, most of the people who visit this area are from the yachting fraternity, though there are some small hotels and pensions along the seafront.

In this marina many MANY Caiques are “moored” preparing for the season ! They pick up guests both in Marmaris, Bodrum or even Fethiye. We visited two of them - and the cost varies between 8-10’000 Euros / week for 15/16 persons to 15-35’000 Euros / week depending on whether you want a “simple” one or a luxurious one !

Believe it or not both Ingrid and myself found a boutique we liked and each of us bought a dress - mine to wear on top of a bathing suit and Ingrid to wear near the swimming pool :)

Our neighbour in the harbour was a kind live-onboard Belgian man with his Turkish girlfriend who gave us tips about this area where he is installed since 30 years.

During our trip in Turkey, no need to set an alarm on - either we heard Ingrid preparing her coffee :) or more often the sound of a rooster or of goats or of donkeys or of minarets !
