Its been a couple of days now that we have left the Kornati islands to discover - mostly motoring unfortunately - other islands, such as Losinj where we went into the marina of Mali Losinj, set at the end of a long natural harbour with a very nice “promenade” along the harbour. Since for once we were in a harbour, we ate out in a nice restaurant and realised that often we eat better on the boat - yet no cooking for Tanya which I appreciate!
We then anchored a in number of magnificent bays - turquoise waters, white rocks and rocky beaches, nice sea temperature, few fishes (that we know already though… !) such as in “Uvala Potkujni" sur l’’ile de Unije or “Uvala Lovka” sur l’ile de Dugi Otok or in the middle of a canal between two islands, namely Svetji Petar and Ilovik.
Paolo decided we had to fish - so he spent hours putting the line in and out of the water to finally decide to buy fish (more precisely small octopus) at the market !! Yet we are still hoping to fish something one day again… Maybe when Alastair comes back with us!

Marina - in her usual self, spends her time reading, communicating with her family, working and admiring the countryside, and going for “un bagnetto nel mare” de plus en plus souvent, une première pour elle!

We visited Pula yesterday - a city famous for its Roman remains - given that a Roman settlement was founded there about 44BC, a settlement which grew swiftly to become the administrative centre of Roman Istria. We visited a number of monuments, including the spectacular Roman amphitheatre, one of the best preserved arenas in the world.

On our way to Rovinj before crossing to Venice - our final destination for this trip round
