In essence, the object of the past three weeks was to complete the safe delivery of "Knotty Girl" from the UK to Barcelona. That's a distance of 1,835 nautical miles. That objective was met at 0830 this morning as we slipped quietly in to Port Vell - a marina right in the heart of this fabulous city - after an uneventful passage across from Ibiza. "Knotty Girl" now rests amongst the resident superyachts, chief among whom is the recently sold "Dilbar", now named "Al Raya". This massive motoryacht is a mere 95m longer than "Knotty Girl" and has 48 crew on board.

Robertos next boat perhaps?  We think not.

So that's it. Job done. Mission accomplished. What lies ahead for Julia, Julian & I is quite a lot of cleaning, a chance to see this vibrant city, a spot of dinner, and a dash to the airport. For Roberto and Tanya, today marks the true start of their Mediterranean season, beginning with the arrival of new guests in a couple of days. We look forward to reading about their adventures and to seeing "Knotty Girl" again soon, but not before a last round of Dark n'Stormys this evening...

Until the next time.
