After a very nice sailing trip / with up to 12 knots yesterday, we arrived around 5 pm and anchored in front of a so called "Military Island” that is 0.6 miles away from the city of Combarro, established at the end of Ria de Pontevedra. The old harbour is well known for its various types and lengths of “horreos”, so to say very typical “greniers”where long ago fish, cereal, potatoes and ham were stored and that are now still used for storage mainly and for tourists taking pictures. Apparently, the bigger the richer the owner were. Very charming village, but probably the best view of those “horreos” is from the dinghy ! We then returned for dinner to the boat where we were granted a dinner with dolphins - big ones swimming slowly not far from the boat. After a very calm night we woke up in grey sky and Olivier had to use our front deck sea water “jet d eau” to clean almost 30 meters of our anchor chain which was full of earth / mud while I was bringing the anchor up asking him to hurry :). We motored and while doing so saw additional dolphins as is said in the guides - real publicity for once ! After anchoring in front of Praia Area de Cruz in Porto Pedras Negras, we did a very nice 2 hours walk until the end of the small Peninsula / Illote Redonda de Foora - big round rocks of various shapes that Olivier of course climbed before motoring *sic” in the direction of a bay close to Cambados..
