From Winter to Summer in 5 weeks...

We left June 10th from Lymington to bring Knotty Girl to the Mediterranean. Our first night, crossing the Biscay Bay we wore 6 layers, including our boots, wet gear and winter hat as at night the temperature was about 10 degrees, yet with a feeling of less than that I can assure you. Our last night, namely from Barcelona to Calvi in Corsica, we wore shorts and a t-shirt and a VERY LIGHT fleece, as the night temperature was more like 20 degrees, and I can assure you I much preferred the latter…. !
It feels overall that we went from winter to summer and about 5 weeks and it feels we have been at see for much longer as we experienced so many things with such diverse crew members. On our voyage from the UK to Barcelone, we stopped in Guernsey (were we were not allowed to go off the boat), Roskoff, Brest, Baiona - as a pit stop, Cascais, Gibraltar, Ibiza.
We changed crew and then were off to Corsica for a "real” vacation. Today we crossed to ile d’Elbe were we anchored in a magnificent bay Fetovaia were, surprise surprise we were far from being alone, yet as we speak, namely at 9 pm, the bay is much quieter and we are enjoying it even more !
