Remember I said this place is idyllic?
The water in the lagoon is crystal clear but has a few less welcome guests …
These are black-tipped sharks around our bathing platform. Actually quite harmless … or so they say!
This one seen passing under Hebe's bottom …
Diving was spectacular.
Hebe's resident photographer, Imogen Nash, chasing a manta ray. (It may look small but was about 8ft wing tip to wing tip.)
Life in Suwarrow is not all water based - beach barbecues at dusk. Fish caught a little earlier!
Bird Island was in the lagoon - Frigate bird chicks and mummy…..
Finally, this is a memorial to a New Zealander - Tom Neale - who put Suwarrow on the map. He lived alone on the atoll for many years and wrote a charming book "An Island to Oneself".
