Had a fantastic sail to the finish, the moon lighting our path, the wind kicking off as we rounded Pigeon Island so that we roared over the finish line doing 11 knots screaming and waving ! Met by the Arc team with rum punches all round, champagne then flowed and we all fell about on shore ending up in comas some time that night. It rained heavily which eventually woke us up as the hatches were all open.
We are 38th overall so far and 2nd in our class…whoop di do.
You'll be interested to know that Dart our goldfish has survived and has been promoted to a large cereal container and is blissfully happy swimming around. He was the only one on board happy that the gas broke down and he could have the gimballed cooker all to himself.
Its so nice to stop rocking and I don't want to think about setting sail again on 11th January……signing off till then,
Happy Christmas from all aboard Hebe, Andrew, Janie, Peter, Sarah, Harry and Imo, xxxxx
