Imo was the first to see it, a faint outline beneath a pile of cumulus clouds. 

Our first view of land on Tuesday, as you can see we managed to get the parasailor rigged and working a dream…..except that morning just as Ali was dozing on watch the shackle blew off the port sheet (left  side blue rope - Ed)

Massive FAFF getting the ************ sail down through the hatch and untangling it.  Lots of  " Oh lets just dump it over board " comments and worse, but they got it back up eventually and we gently wove our way to this amazing unknown island, imagining the ancient mariners. 

This is what happened when we knew the end was hours away…….

There was a point when no one was in charge! 

We trickled along the coastline gazing at it all in awe, high cloudy mountains and lush slopes and jagged cliffs, breakers crashing. Where on earth was our safe harbour ?

We spectacularly dropped the sail on the line as we rounded the point, soooo cool.

The rest of the day was an alcoholic haze rolling ashore and later face down at dinner.
