How life works in its own way, we sat and watched the news reports of the Brisbane River rising, boats in trouble being pulled off the mooring, trouble leaving the docks and river. If we had been on schedule with the boat shipping we would have been in the middle of that, I would have had Gijima in a mooring on the Brisbane river, and knowing me I would not have been in Brisbane and therefore we would have been in big trouble. How lucky are we the boat has been delayed again, and now it is costing the shipping company significant money, but I am saving on slip fees and now on the flood.

We will fly in Sunday to Brisbane to devastation and issues and will see it from the air as we pass through on the way to Canberra, I suspect the boat will only arrive mid to late Feb, by that stage we will be ste up in Yanba had a rest and in a position to go and get Gijima.

I read so many stories  of cruisers who had been cruising for years and now caught in this  flood loosing the boat.

 

The family enjoyed the snow, and mountains and now back in California to prepare to fly tomorrow.
