We woke to rain coming down and cool day outside, and all the soccer
channels on. We had heard that the inter-active museum in Santiago is
fantastic, so we decided to try and get there. On arrival it is a very big
complex with more than the museum things like an aqua center etc, we decided
to concentrate on the interactive center with 300+ active exhibits which the
boys went off at full speed. 3 hours latter they were still going, and we
had not covered the whole place. The set up was well laid out, and very well
set up for all ages, (I enjoyed it as well) with many of the concepts Sean
and I had talked about in Physics, or in geology and we were able to show it
and see it in front of them.
I do not remember these centers when I was a boy but they are great, and
well worth many visits.
As the sun went down we went walking down the streets and past the many
café's and book stores which will be my memory of Santiago, we are very
comfortable in this neighborhood, and know where we are going. We dropped
into our favorite Ice Cream Café and then went on for dinner, the boys like
it and Tracy and I just soak up the atmosphere.
Tomorrow we are trying to go skiing in the mountains around Santiago as it
is meant to be sunny, and there is a lot more snow than when we where here
before.
