After a full day yesterday around the falls and a lot of stairs and walking
we decided to go back for 1/2 day and just redo certain sections at a slow
pace, Tracy and I have found this often one of the best tactics, as we get
to see everything and then we can choose to go back and see certain things.
So we went back on the train and up to Devil's Throat, we were early so
ahead of the crowds and there was a slight wind blowing which made it wetter
than yesterday, but it cleared the falls of people and immediate spray. So
we were able to stand over the falls with the rushing, and thunder of huge
ammounts of water cascading over the falls below us and just a head of us,
by ourselves. Remeber we are on one side of the falls standing over water
just dropping off to nothing below us. We took it all at a slow pace looking
at butter flys with the boys and birds, and discussing items. Sean and Tracy
redid the Eco row boat trip as Sean wanted to do it again, they saw lots of
baby crocs, Alex wanted to do the train back so I did that with him. We then
did the upper walk of the adjacent falls again the splendor is hard to take
in as the peal off to your right, and the jungle all around.
We then caught a late flight 5 pm out and saw the falls from the air, with
the cloud of mist rising out of jungle showing you the spot, before you get
high enough to see the river, falls and the rest of the river system, in
amoungst the green jungle.
Arrived in Buenos Aires staying 1/2 block back from the main Avenue (9 de
Julio Avenue) with the Obelisk and very wide avenue, now it's time to rest
ready to explore tomorrow.
