We rested and then jumped on a standard bus downtown, costs nothing and we got off on the Melacon (promenade) We walked along the water front as through the floats as they were getting prepared, Alex’s eyes were wide open with all the costumes.

We got a good position on the beach side with the islands behind, and waves crashing in (we are now back on the ocean), and waited for the parade. The boys also with their blond hair and blue eyes were getting a lot of attention from any of girls.

The Parade was huge (said to be 3rd biggest in the world) it took 3 hours, and the boys just could not get enough of it. You will see the photos. The colors, and costumes, not counting the floats, and just the atmosphere of people celebrating (Lent starts tomorrow). They went through the history, culture, and there were 1000s out, the weather was ideal.

We caught an open air taxi home again which the boys loved.

Now we are all exhausted so ready for bed.

Stay tuned.
