The snow had stopped but I found both Tracy and Alex had come down with a
stomach bug, probably the one both Sean and I had fought through last week.
This put both of then out of action.
Sean and I went out to explore the town more visiting the library which we
do in many towns and read books and do some local games in the kids room,
and spent time confirming possible travel arrangements around here and we
looking at going to some falls on the Brazil/Argentina border, so how do we
do that.
It also gives me time with Sean where we discuss things and we picked up
some lego which we spent a good part of afternoon putting together as part
of logic building. He also spent time negotiating with some of the store
assistances in Spanish which is good to see. As stated before a part of this
week was to just blend in and be part of the daily life in Bariloche and
this we did, we are very comfortable walking around we know the good stores
and places to go, and we revisit places which is good for the boys.
Tomorrow we will branch out more to the surrounding mountains, but as I took
a late afternoon walk on the hill behind the town, the sun had cleared and
the mountains on the other side of lake where white from last nights fresh
snow, and now the setting sun had a golden, purple glaze over these
mountains that formed a backdrop to the lake. I spent a good half an hour
just standing and taking in this grandeur and freshness, how lucky we are to
see it.
