Sunday the day of rest, the weather was ideal in the low 80s, and a nice 2
to 5 knot breeze all day, the pool is now cool so very freshing to get into.
Like all Sundays we allow people to get on with their own things, I rowed in
the morning, and then settled down in the cockpit with my coffee, classic
music playing and my book (Ted Kennedy's biography we had picked up in a
hotel book swap, it is the 3rd USA political book I have read this year, as
I get to try and under the US political system). I enjoy this time as it is
a clear nice morning, the boys are playing with Thomas Train, Tracy is doing
photos and Guitar.
The hotel is full, last night we had a cruisers banquet on shore (Italian
night) with 11 boats coming in which is 22+ people, a good night all dressed
up, and enjoyed it.
This afternoon we were all in the pool for happy hour, Sean playing with
some new friends who down from San Salvador and in the middle of this the
President of El Salvador decided on a family drop in he was on a power boat
and dropped in for drinks. Next thing you have security people, a marine
patrol boat circling but he was in board shorts and t shirt looking much
like us. Not often you have a President of a country drop in and walk pass
your boat, Tracy was surprised to see a guard outside our boat as she and
Alex came up to pool for happy hour, she then had a good conversation with
the First Lady without realizing who it was as they had a child same age as
Alex. The owner of the hotel was able to talk to President about the
cruising boats here, the Rally we did earlier in the year and why it is good
for the country, all helps in some of improvements he is seeking to
encourage other cruisers here next year.
So ended another Sunday, Pizza night, and a great sunset.
Have lined up 3 good projects this week on the Bilge pump, and emergency
pump systems, I have been putting these off of a while, time and opportunity
to do them.
Stay tuned
