We now on the move, lifted the dock lines and are now some 15 miles off Oceanside(33:11.081N 117: 36.386W) not much wind about 7 knots from behind so we running the motor, we just put up the spinnaker for the first time, still not much wind but Ed is having fun playing with the sail, as the sun sets, it nice to get the sails up, as it looks like it will light breeze tonight. So we will motor through the night to arrive in Ensenada tomorrow morning.

We had an emotional farewell, for me leaving the harbor and family, last night a farewell at the yacht club, and then today about 30 people down at the docks, and then 5 boats followed us out. Garry Jackson (an old friend) had most of the followers on board including Tracy and Sean and Alex, I think it was really then Sean understood what we were up to, and that we were leaving. Very emotional to say fare well after 12 years in the harbor and the Rusty Pelican and where we started the family, but on the other hand it is good to be on the way, as the last 2 weeks have been long days. Thanks to all those who came out to say farewell it was really appreciated.

Stay tuned will add more tonight.
