Day 2 in La Paz saw Steve and Pam leave so Ed and I got out the folding
bikes and headed off around the bay to town, to explore the stores. We had a
list of final parts I needed mainly plumbing hose etc for the water cooled
refrigeration project, we asked some long time dock neighbors who pointed us
to far side of town to a new hardware store, and then the bigger marine
stores. The ride from marina around the bay on the promenade was great very
flat and sun out with a mild breeze to set an ideal ride. We dropped in to
sort our rental car to pick up Tracy and then dive tanks, then on to other
side of town to find this new hardware store Alrco, which was a great
suggestion (we had found the marine stores not good for the plumbing parts I
needed) but this store had it all and helpful at half the price. Onwards we
went up and down streets exploring on bikes getting our bearings around
town, where the best part stores and food stores are like CCC and others.
Storing for local drinks on a corner to watch the local characters go by.
The afternoon saw the Water cooling for refrigeration done, and some other
projects, we now 75% through the list with 2 days to go before the family
come in, which is my aim to complete the major projects I had before they
arrive so I can spend time with them around town. All the rest a small nice
to haves which we will knock back tomorrow.
Stay tuned
