We are still in Newport Beach (33:37.162N  117:55.476 W) outside the Rusty Pelican, the rain is coming down, and we are getting itchy feed to move to warmer climate. We hauled the boat this week, got the bottom done and survey  and other checks, everything went smootherly except for the prop work where we had it back to front, so we backwards when we are meant to go forwards. This was a quick fix with Ed and I.

The crew is  confirmed for the trip down:

Ed Quesada : Providing the experience of years at see (old man of the see) and been up and down the baja a number of times

Steve Ellsworth: Our commodore from this year, and great cook plus multi hull sailor

Between us we will have fun, and lots of experience, plus we taking the attitude of no rush we will enjoy the trip.

We planning 2 weeks but that depends on greater things than us.

We plan to leave the harbor 3rd January targeting Ensenada first for check in.

The boat is close, Tracy has some more internal adjustments with cushions and cupboards near her bed.

We are switching a water tank to fuel, and just tuning.

But it is coming a reality, Tracy and kids will be sking while we go south and join us in La Paz.

Stay tuned.
