Well we left Z town after a morning at the museum (good education for the
boys, as we related to what we have seen and where we are going as we will
visit many ruins further south) and final fresh stocks, cruise ship came in
which tripled the population in an instant.
At 2 pm we lifted anchor and followed "Endurance" out who has about 3/4 hour
ahead of us, it was nice to find there was a wind of about 15knots off our
stern and 6 to 7 feet seas at 14 + seconds. So we pulled out the sails and
turned off the motor, we have been going for 2 hours, a little rolly, but
it is nice to be sailing. The temperature outside is 29 C and sunny. Sean
and I are on watch , we just hooked a fish which after hauling in under sail
(so you cannot slow down) for 20 minutes it got off in the last 2 feet, bad
luck but it gave me good exercise.
So the scene at the moment is we are in following seas, under sail, in 12 to
15 knots at 136 degrees on a very broad reach, doing 5.5 to 6 knots, playing
Pink Floyd and sun out. It is probably the best start to a passage we have
had, this is what we had expected to be doing a lot more of, the boat is
sailing well, and we are catching Endurance. The forecast is for this wind
to drop off as evening comes, so we will enjoy while we can. Turtles
swimming past and caught 3 fish all thrown back.

Stay tuned.
