It's morning and we semi clear skies, just completing breakfast in an glass
sun room. The mountains rise up from the flat valley bottom floor, green
initially with dense trees evolving to rock and snow in the upper segments.
The clouds today are broken into small cotton wool drifts that float pass
segments of the mountains. The view takes me back to my early days in Europe
and been in the Swiss mountains and valleys near Interlaken, but without the
traffic and people. The boys are outside playing on the lawn as we wait for
the bus to take us over the border into Argentina today and then on into two
lake crossings.I had not realized these mountain passes existing like this
in Chile, it is truly as good and better than Europe.
