We woke to an ideal day the jungle just off to our port was singing with
birds, and the water was blue/ green and so clear. We joined Ethan and
family on the beach, I have dropped the walkerbay our 10 foot rowboat with
pontoons (we have 2 dinghies) and I am rowing ashore as this is a beach
landing and I need the exercise, so we surf into the beach no hassle no
engine to lift and resole with. The beach is wide and clean, and the water
temp is ideal with small 1 to 2 foot waves, which Sean was able to catch on
his boogey board. It is nice to see him building his confidence, and we
surfed for over and hour often he raced in on the waves with Zada. After
lunch I took the row bow (walkerbay) and add the sail rid, and we now had a
10 foot sailing dinghy similar to manly junior I grew up with years ago,
Sean and I could then get in some dinghy sailing and then Ethan and others
had turns. It is so nice to just get into a dinghy and just explore the bay,
the boats at leisure while sailing so I spent a couple of hours doing this.
Today was a true cruising at anchor day 80 % in the water, and just playing
very nice but you can feel the heat rising. Ethan and I were able to pass
many stories and learning back and forth which is good knowledge building,
he was able to inspect some of the work he started with me on the boat 2
years ago. We have the full insect covers out to keep the little ones out
while maintaining a breeze through the boat.
Tomorrow the jungle boat river.
