We left early from Isabela seeing whales lots of them playing off our port
side, and we had a wonderful trip in nice conditions. This was the day of
the Tsunami which we heard about through weather reports at 7 am and it past
under us about 8.20 am with a surge which we saw the auto pilot do a change
but not a big effect. We caught 6 fish one of which was a very large fish 2
feet and 25 lbs + ( Crevalle Jack we think see photo
We then stayed at Chacala a great spot, lovely beach and community, and the
change into tropical vegetation was a big step on this journey. We spent 2
nights here before the SW swell set in, and we enjoyed the fresh fruit and
meals on the beach.
Highly recommend this location for people heading north. You can see some
great sun set shots from the beach with the Red sun, the black of Gijima's
image, and water rolling in front.
