We left early this morning under over cast skies and about 13 knots out of
the north east, and we headed south. Within 3 miles I had caught my first
fish with the boys on board which they liked. We were able to get to 7.8
knots on occasions but averages 7.2 and made good time to Los Muetros
(23:59.368N 109:49.608W) again. Based on the next 7 days forecast we have a
deep trough heading below us so we wanted to be in a place to protected
admittedly if the winds come from the east/ or south we will be rocking, but
Thursday is strong winds from the north, so we relax here in this nice
harbor and explore for 2 to 3 days and rest for the crossing. Remember this
is the first crossing/ over night for the family and there are a lot of
tests, as we have 32 to 34 hour run. But as we came down today we had
literally lots of bat rays jumping in what seemed to be and exhibition, some
doing somersaults others just trying to fly, and it was not just in one spot
it was all the way down the 50 miles we travelled today. On arrival we went
to the "Giggle Marlin" for the kids to play and us to relax for a dinner
out, and drinks, it was a nice break, and good for the family.
Tomorrow is exploring.
