We work to the North wind blowing strong all day, I was glad that we were in
the marina, as the people out on anchor had a lot issues as people broke
anchor all over the place and dragged back onto other boats, so when we saw
some friends lat in the afternoon they had all had a tough day. The kids and
I took on the park today, they enjoyed the climbing and exploring the
slides, next door there is a tent that sells fresh coconuts which Sean
decided we needed one so selected one. They cut the top off and we drank the
milk, the last time he had done this was Thailand. Tracy spent most of the
day sorting out all her gear and kids gear as we need to pack away all the
winter cloths into bags and deep into the storage areas.
Late in the afternoon we went into town to a cruisers gathering which was a
bit blown out, but we want to try and meet some other families with kids. We
met our South African friends and also the kids boat that was next to us at
Freiles and talked with them, it appears that we will be going a similar way
which will be good. They are a couple from San Diego with two girls 8 and 6,
and his wife comes from Chili, they are on a Morgan 38 "Endurance". Dinner
out at a local stall in town great fish tacos (see photo), we came back and
put the boys into the hotel hot tub, to finish the initial day. We are using
these 3 days to settle the family in and get supplies before leaving late in
the week.
