The last two days we have been exploring the beaches and surrounding hills on the OSa Peninsula walking with the boys in the jungle. It is amazing to walk on a virgin beach at any time, with the waves rolling in around the point in a light blue clear water, but to walk on a beach with no marks to wade in the dancing waves on the shore, and have a troop of Cappuccino monkeys (with their black coast and white faces)playing and feeding on the edge of the beach and jungle. As I walked along above us these black eagles and Osprey glided looking for fish and dinner. The palm trees sway in the gentle breeze the sun is out, and the boys just take it all in, we hear then see two scarlet macaws fly over us.

We walked today up a hill to a lodge seeing again block monkeys playing on the path close to us, then Spider monkey feeding, not really caring about us, the way he used his tail to wrap around the branches and hang and eat was a site. As we got up the hill, we saw two types of Tucans close up they were all over the trees and then the view of the blue pacific extending out over the deep green jungle. We spent a lot of time showing the boys, and discussing, using the charts for the boys to match what they see.

Yesterday the frogs ended up in the pool with us, and at night they make a lot of noise.

It is a wonderful place, very tied to nature and everything you dream of Costa Rica, it has been a good trip, you need to stay in the jungle to really appreciate it and see the animals and birds, of the jungle vs the birds of the coast.
