For the last 6 weeks since I stripped a gear in my windlass I have been
pulling up the anchor manually, remembering I have a heavy 33 kg (73 lb)
anchor and 3/8 HT chain, so in 30 to 40 feet this is a heavy free load. But
it has made it clear I need a new windlass which will have manual winding on
it as well.
The photos show Tracy and I working as team to get a process to pulling up the anchor in Bahia Ballena.
One of 24 times I would do it over this period.

My morning upper body work out!!!
