We went today looking for kids things and found the BA Kids Museum, and it
was good, it was all interaction sections. For example a shopmart where they
went in and collected the groceries and fruits off the shelves and went and
checked it out. Then Sean loved a large cargo ship at a dock, and then a
dock crane he could drive and pick up bags raise them off the dock and swing
them over to the hold of the ship and lower them it. He ran back and forth
looking and controlling it into the hold. This was great as he has seen so
many of these cargo ships on the trip this year and huge dockside cranes and
cargo, now he started to understand how they worked, it took a couple of
attempt but he thought it through. Then he went on to a construction site,
and then a car mechanics shop where he could work under a toy car, he put
things in out of engine change tires etc, (he was trying to relate this to
what our friend Paul Ludgate does in his shop which Sean has seen many
times). It was impressive the way it was set up and they did a couple hours
where it is all learning, we set up exercises on the construction and he and
Alex with some support worked them.
It was a good day, and critical that we push them with different fun
exercises different to the other native education we giving them. Tomorrow
we going to a Music Theater show of "Beauty and the Beast" live which will
be fun for them as well, we are taking full advantage of being back in city
with full of culture and activities.
