Another early start saw us leave Bequia at 0730 bound for St Georges Grenada. However, once again the seas were big, the passage was rough and it rained hard. Carrie was on the helm. The rest of the crew all kept out of the rain, as there seemed little point in us all getting wet - but she did a great job!

So, we decided to stop off at Carriacou, a small island about 20 miles north of Grenada. What a treat. This is a remote, under developed island. We spent the first night in a bay off Hillsborough the main town on the island.
The girls enjoyed the cocktails (again!!) at the beach side bar.
The next day was Mikaela's birthday. We started the day with presents and cards and banners sent by Mikaela's mum.

In the morning I checked the boat and the crew into the island (through customs, immigration etc) whilst Anne and Carrie went scuba diving.
We reconvened at lunchtime and then moved the boat round to Tyrell Bay (also on Carriacou).
Anne made Mikaela a birthday cake,
whilst the girls started on the champagne (also sent by Mikaela's mum)!!

We sang with the guitar during the afternoon from a new song book we have (also, as it happens, sent by Mikaela's mum!!!)
We then moved to on to the Lazy Turtle beachside restaurant for our dinner. We had a fantastic evening with lots of laughs  (probably too much wine!!)
The skipper got carried away with the corks.....
whilst Anne couldn't cope with the pace and crashed out in the cockpit!
We felt we had done a good job of welcoming Mikaela to her 27th year!!
