We arrived in Gomera (sorry no photo) on Sunday (9th) after a frustrating sail. Strong winds outside the harbour at Estaca, then a good sail, then the wind dropped to nothing, so we ended up motoring to the pleasant marina at San Sebastian  on Gomera.
San Sebastian, the main town on Gomera, is small with an equally small collection of shops, one supermarket and a collection of bars and restaurants. The marina seemed busy with a vast variety of yachts from every corner of the globe. Canadians, Americans, Dutch and Germans to name but a few. Gomera felt more 'English' than the other Canarian islands we had visited, but then we did go to and English bar and next door to a pizza restaurant for our dinner!!!
Tomorrow we plan to see more of the island and anchor on the SW coast at a place called Cantera.
