Subject: 6th May Biscay Day 3

So, for all of you who are wondering what the Bay of Biscay is like I can now
tell you! It looks just like every other bit of sea - except with a bigger
swell!
We are making good progress across The Bay. We are in position 44' 39.48N 008'
17.10W. 305 miles out from Camaret and 116 miles from Cape Finisterre.
We have been escorted by dolphins for quite a bit of the trip. Last night
there were 15 or so, they were here again during the night (about 5) and we
watched them for some time this morning before they shot off at high speed. We
have also had various feathered friends join us, and for those of you who know
me well - I am particularly pleased about this aspect of the trip! In fact as
I type this there is a pigeon looking in the cabin window!!! He seems to have
a damaged tail and appears not to have done his pre-flight checks properly
before setting out across Biscay!!
Good humour seems to abound amongst our multi-cultural crew (there is an awful
lot of French being spoken!) and we are looking forward to Spain. You can
email us on chiscos {CHANGE TO AT} mailasail {DOT} com but please don't send replies or attachments
- we won't be able to download them and they'll bung up the system.
