Vanochtend om een uur of 7.00 rond Stad/Statt gevaren. De beloofde / voorspelde 2 meter golven waren er gelukkig dus geen 10 meter zoals 2 jaar geleden. Helemaal goed. De wind was gemiddeld kracht 4-5 met uitschieters naar 6 dus ook dat was heel goed te doen. We zijn om Stad/Statt heen gevaren en het fjord eronder ingevaren, helemaal tot het einde. Daar ga je door een hele smalle doorgang en dan kom je in het Moldefjord, net een wereldje op zichzelf. Prachtig groen, mooie huizen, overal vissersbootjes. Super!

 

Lekker geankerd om 11.00 uur en toen we aan het ontbijt zaten kwam er een bootje snel op ons af gevaren. Willem ging naar buiten en zei in het Engels: Hello.... De man antwoordde in het Nederland: Hallo, in het Nederlands net zo makkelijk toch? Het blijkt dat deze man Nederlander is, Simon heet, nu 70 jaar is en al 10 jaar ongeveer in Noorwegen woont. Hij vindt het fantastisch! Of hij werkt in zijn grote tuin, 8000m2, of hij gaat lekker met zijn bootje vissen. Dat hij gelijk heeft! Hij had vanuit zijn huis ons voorbij zien varen en dacht: wat leuk, Nederlanders, die ga ik even begroeten. Daarna kwam een Noors visserbootje luid toeterend en zwaaiend voorbij. Je ziet, de Twinga en bemanning voelen zich weer heel erg welkom.

 

Morgen richting Maloy, kijken of we kunnen tanken en wat boodschappen halen en dan weer op weg naar een andere ankerplaats.

 

De weersvoorspelling was de hele week regen. Maar, om een uur of 17.00 vandaag kwam het zonnetje door, ging de wind liggen en was het weer even een paar uur kortenbroekentijd. Willem, die nog steeds teveel energie heeft, ging nu de boot poetsen. Ingrid vindt het helemaal prima en maakt foto's van een werkende Willem.

This morning at 7.00 a.m. we rounded Statt/Stad. The waves were 2 metres as the forecast had said so that was great. Not the 10 metres we had 2 years ago. The wind was force 4-5 with shifts towards force 6 so also that was absolutely doable. We sailed round Statt/Stad and into the fjord straight under Stattlandet. We went right to the end en through a small entrance into a world on it own, Moldefjord. Beautiful scenery, green slopes, very nice Norwegian houses and fisherboats.

 

At 11.00 a.m. we anchored and were having breakfast when a small fishing boat came towards us. Willem went outside to say Hello and then the man responded in Dutch. It was Simon, a Dutchman of 70 years old, who has been living here for 10 years. He really enjoys the Norwegian life, culture, nature and space. Either he works in his 8000m2 garden or he goes fishing in his little boat. We absolutely agree with him! That's life! After that a Norwegian fisherboat came by, loud sounding their horn and waving for welcome. So, Twinga and crew again feel very welcome in our new anchorage.

 

Tomorrow we will go towards Maloy, see if we can get some diesel and do some shopping. The we will go out, down South, for a next anchorage.

 

By the way, the weather forecast was rain all week. But, to our surprise, at 5.00 p.m. the sun came out, the wind died and for a few hours we had lovely warm sunny weather. Willem still has too much energy so he immediately ran outside and cleaned the whole deck.... Ingrid, of course, didn't mind at all and enjoyed herself taking pictures of the scenery and a working Willem
