Quick note from third in command. (ie the scivvy!) I would have written
before but I have been chained to the galley. Either that or hauled up the
mast and pushed over board at sea to check the state of the hull. I was told
it was going to be a holiday!! But don't feel too sorry for me, we've had a
glorious couple of days with incredible weather. Our quick stop to the
island of San Pietro was a real treat. After stocking up on provisions,
Marcos and I had a explore through the little port's colourful, narrow
streets then back on board for lunch and the obligatory siesta in the sun.
After filling up with fuel we headed to a beautiful calm, sandy anchorage
for the rest of the day for another swim (!!) and then barbecued sardines
washed down with a bottle of Marsala picked up in Sicily. Tough!! After the
first few days of adventure, high winds, rough seas and ripped sails, I
think we deserved it.... Right back to the galley for me!
