This has proved to be a real highlight of our visit and we are reluctant to move. The beach is outstanding, anchorage safe and settled, two restaurants ashore and crystal clear water. There are even elephants walking along the beach each morning.

Sam is off today doing some diving while Guido and I have walked the beach and snorkelled. One other boat in the anchorage that arrived last night but otherwise we have the place to ourselves, apart from a few people at the "resort" called "barefoot at havelock" that has a website at www.barefootindia.com . Before we leave Port Blair will will endeavour to put some pictures of this paradise in th the diary.

Our neighbours on Calabar caught a tuna yesterday so we have some for our supper this evening - it really is a tough life! We are in the Andamans till the 22nd then will begin our 1200 mile passage to Cochin
